I have not yet caught a Carp over 20lb, my largest is a 15 lb common caught on a cold March night at Brasenose1 lake on the linear fisheries complex, caught on a single piece of pepperami and an artificial corn to lift it slightly.

worrying results?

I copied this off of the net, something to ponder over i think. Since i watched Broadlands lake being dragged a few years ago where they scooped out 6 or 7 large trailer loads of rancid rotten shelf lifes, i've always thought what are we really chucking in our lakes, I know from experience with my own carp how little care goes into fish food manufacturing, so what about bait companies? have they really done their homework in making sure man made baits are totaly safe? probably not.

My Son and I decided to fish Merrington Carp Fishery in Shropshire this weekend. We arrived early Friday morning and set up in pegs 1 and 2. Friday it was mainly showers with nice sunny spells.Saturday almost the same but the showers were heavier and it there was a coldish wind.Sat night the rain came and ...

Here's a question for the roach boffins amongst us. During my last couple of visits to my local recently, i noticed some weird behaviour coming from a vast shoal of average sized roach. In the shoal of roach were individual numbers motionless with there heads down midwater, while the rest of the shoal moved around these fish stayed still, and virtually vertical. when the shoal moved off they swam with them normally, as the shoal milled around in another area, again individuals stayed motionless ...
