A little works outing to Abbotsbury

Friday arrived and it was fishing time. One of the guys at work had arranged a little social match at Abbotsbury 8pm til 1am.

So after a days work, I was met at 4-15 by Claudia and we headed off to the tackle shop, I got some rag, frozen sandeel and party squid, took 5 minutes, the other 45 minutes we spent there were taken up with a certain lady haggling with the shop keeper over some bit of bling she wanted. I will let her tell you about that!

They state that red is not carried through water, so red line will be visible close up, just not at distance.

makes a bit of a mockery of the Matt Hayes comment that fish cannot see red, and his red fishing line business.

maybe now we see why red maggots work for coarse fishing.

Well, off to do my once yearly run to Chesil beach at Abbotsbury tomorrow, need to catch my winter supply of piking bait, so hope there's plenty of mackeral about. Depending on how many pike sessions you do it works out a hell of a lot cheaper than buying them from the supermarket.
